Look for my short story, ONE IN FOUR SHOT, to run today at everdayfiction.com.

“I’m a failed poet. Maybe every novelist wants to write poetry first, finds he can’t and then tries the short story which is the most demanding form after poetry. And failing at that, only then does he take up novel writing.” ~ William Faulkner

I absolutely love that Faulkner quote, btw.

I haven’t read any current poetry that I don’t consider trash (Gonna take some flack for that remark, hahahahaha!) but if Faulkner can fail at the genre, then lesser writers certainly deserve credit for even trying to write poetry.

Just no iambic pentameter, PLEASE! 😉
