Milestone – 500 blog posts

Yesterday’s post represents a milestone in the Prodigal blog. It’ was my 500th posting since signing up with WordPress. I think the best is yet to come.
Rock and Roll Saturday will follow in a bit.

Well done…that’s a lot of writing.
Ric Grech was already a star in the U.K. thanks to his work in Family, a virtually forgotten British band led by the wild vocalist Roger Chapman and the underrated heavy-rock guitarist Charlie Whitney. Grech played on their first two albums, ‘Music In a Doll’s House’ (1968) and ‘Family Entertainment’ (1969). The latter album contains three of his songs – “How-Hi-the-Li,” “Face In the Cloud,” and the single “Second Generation Woman.” Many observers believe that Grech’s abrupt departure from Family to join Blind Faith discombobulated Family and pre-empted their chances for success in the United States.
